9/24 Superindent's Sunday Message

Good morning,

As we approach the last week of September, I want to take a moment to share some important information with you. Fall is already here and time is ticking.

EXCITING NEWS… We are preparing to make our way to Fenway Park for the annual Thanksgiving football game. Details regarding bus transportation will be forthcoming. We are covering the cost of student general admission tickets. Athletic Director David Palazzi is working to provide this information in a timely manner. For all other tickets please visit redsox.com/highschoolfootball. General admission is $20.

Please mark your calendars for the following Open House dates and times:

Fall Brook Elementary:
Date: September 28th
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Northwest Elementary:
Date: September 28th
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Leominster High School & Career and Technical Education:
Date: September 26th

We look forward to welcoming you to these events and providing you with valuable insights into the educational journey of your children. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet teachers, ask questions, and get a closer look at the wonderful work happening within our schools.

Additionally, I would like to remind all families to ensure that their contact information is up-to-date in our school records. Keeping your contact information current is vital for effective communication between our schools and families. If you have any changes to your contact information, please reach out to your child's school office as soon as possible to make the necessary updates.

Finally, I want to acknowledge the strength and resilience of our community as we continue to heal from the challenges posed by the rainstorm that occurred on September 11th. Our city has shown incredible unity and determination, and I am confident that together, we will overcome any obstacles that come our way.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school or the school district office. Be well. Be safe. Be kind.

Respectfully,
Paula Deacon, Superintendent (Did you win anything fun at the JA Festival?)
