Good Evening Johnny Appleseed Families!
I hope this email finds you rested and perhaps cheering on a winning PATRIOTS team?!?!
This past week was HOT, but great! THANK YOU to staff, students, and families for finding creative ways to keep cool. Despite the heat, JA had very good attendance. The school now feels complete with K starting! Buses seem to be getting a little better with arrival and pick up times, but there still is room for improvement, so thank you for your patience. There are many things happening in the coming weeks. This week, we hope to see all our grade 3, 4, and 5 families for Open House on September 12th from 5 - 7 PM. Please remember to park at the church and walk across. Please park away from the cones that Pastor Dave has put out so spots can remain reserved for church patrons.
The weather seems better this week, but we will be dodging rain and storms and do our best to get the kiddos outside when possible! Let me take a moment to thank all current and retired members of public and military service as we remember 9-11.
Please remember ATTENDANCE MATTERS! It is essential that students arrive on time, so they are in classes for essential learning concepts. Remember, there are reasons to stay home (ie: fever, vomiting). If your child feels under the weather, see if he/she can “try”. Nurse Jen is excellent at identifying when students need to go home!
