Good Evening! I hope you are hunkered down watching the snow fall. It is hard to believe we will be jumping into February at the end of the week. Our Boosterthon fundraiser has started with student registration now open - Register on MYBOOSTER.COM

We will kick off our fundraiser on 2/7/24 with daily visits from the Boosterthon team and fun opportunities for students to earn cool prizes, all while helping our school raise money to enhance our outdoor classroom! The event will run from 2/7/24 - 2/16/24. 

Mandatory parent meetings for the Lip Sync were held last Thursday and Friday. In order for your child to participate, a parent needed to attend one of the two meetings. Pass in the audition form or fill out the Google form on or before Tuesday, Jan. 30.  No late entries will be accepted. Your child will bring home a notice on Feb. 2 with their audition date! 

Please mark your calendar: February 7th as an early release day for students. Dismissal will be at 11:30 AM. 

SAVE THE DATES FOR MCAS TESTING: 

It is essential that students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are present for state mandated testing. 

MCAS Dates: 

April 2, 3 (3rd grade ELA); April 4, 5 (4th grade ELA); April 9, 10 (5th grade ELA) 

May 7, 8 (3rd grade MATH); May 9. 10 (5th grade MATH); May 14, 15 (4th grade MATH)

May 16, 17 (5th grade SCIENCE) 

Attendance: Attendance Matters! In the past couple weeks, we have done a great job lowering the daily absenteeism rate from 60 students to around 35. It is important to note that tardiness also has an effect on learning. ALL of our grade levels begin the day with essential skill-based instruction that students need in order to progress in Math and Reading lessons.

Boosterthon 2/7 - 2/16

Boosterthon will be making another comeback this year as our big fundraiser. This year’s boosterthon will be dedicated to the outdoor classroom. We are excited to bring enhancements and improvements that will make the outdoor classroom more accessible and desirable to teacher and student use.
