Sky View Middle School

High Expectation, Always

Good Day, Sky View Family.

As we enter the final 5 weeks of the school year, it is a very important time to remind all of our students that school expectations remain the same right through the final day of school, June 18.

Plainly and simply, our students are expected to be the responsible and respectful young adults that we have all (staff and families) been preparing them to be.  Students who decide to do differently will face swift consequences up to and including the loss of privileges for any end of year fun and excitement the teachers may have planned. Misbehavior that results in school suspension, for example, will also result in students being restricted from field trips, the Grade 8 dance, and other events, including the Washington, D.C. trip.

The high expectations at Sky View (in class, in the hallways, at lunch, on the bus, dress code, etc.) have not changed, only the calendar.

None of us want to see our students face disciplinary actions and lose their privileges, but we have seen an increase in poor behavior and poor decisions among all of our students recently.  Please continue to work with us to help all our students understand that everything they show us in school is a reflection on their family, so they should be showing us their best.

Please speak to your students and help us guide them to a successful and proud ending to a rigorous middle school year.

Thank you.
