Things to know:
Hello JA Families,
This will be the first of many weekly emails. These emails are designed to be informative and highlight all the on-goings at Johnny Appleseed. I will be using School Status as my form of communication, which includes text and emails. It is so important that we have current phone numbers and email addresses for all our students.
It is time to think about the transportation options at JA:
Option 1: PARK and WALK - parents may park at New Life Church and walk to the cafeteria entrance. There is NO PARKING in the JA parking lot during arrivals and dismissals. This is for STAFF PARKING and BUSES ONLY. This will be enforced this year.
Option 2: DROP OFF: You may use the car line drop off on Day Street. Anyone who uses this option should enter Day Street by way of Joslyn Street. DO NOT take a left hand turn into the car line. You must get in the back of the car line and put on your hazards, so traffic is aware you are in the drop off/pick up line.
Option 3: BUS!!! Perhaps the best option is by way of the bus! Bus routes are linked below, so you can find the correct bus route and time of pick up and drop offs.
Option 4: If you live close enough to school, consider walking your child to school!
AM and PM bus routes will be linked soon. Please note that the bus number is located at the top of the route/stops.
This week letters will be arriving with classroom assignments, yellow transportation forms, and school calendars. Please take the time to either fill out the Yellow Transportation Form OR the Google Transportation Form linked below. It would be AMAZING if this was completed before the 1st day of school!
Once again, all school supplies have been purchased by the district. All you need is a backpack! We recommend that students also bring a refillable water bottle. Please remember that we still offer FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to all students!
One last special note from Nurse Jen: Please remember that all studnet medications must be brought to school by an adult and with doctor's orders. She will be returning on Monday, August 26th and her email is jenny.allain@leominsterps.org if you have any questions.
